TRIAD.  The Charlottesville Sheriff's Office is a member of the Charlottesville-Albemarle TRIAD program.  This is a program through the Virginia Attorney General's Office that links Senior Citizens, AARP, and Law Enforcement to help prevent the criminal victimization of Senior Citizens.

Fight Crime Invest in Kids is another program we support.  It focuses on programs and other ways, such as legislation, that helps keep youth out of criminal activity.

R.A.D.  This is a self-defense course that Charlottesville Sheriff's Office has offered over the years.  It branched into a Basic Self-Defense class that has been offered more recently.  R.A.D. Systems has multiple trainings geared towards specific ages and genders.  The Basic Self-Defense we offer is open to all adults, and youth with parental permission ages 15-18.
